This type of trimmer requires minimum maintenance. Just keep the blades clean and well lubricated, and it is all good.
Another type of trimmer is the cordless or the rechargeable trimmer. People choose this because of its unrestricted mobility. You can use it anywhere without being bothered by the extension cord.
What is interesting about this type is the fact that you can use it for delicate trimmings. If you want to shape that shrub, this is the perfect tool to use. The batteries have limited life but then again, you can always change them and continue trimming.
This is also environment-friendly because it does not emit gas fumes, which are bad for your health. The downside to this type is that it cannot cut thick hedges. But overall, it is still a good choice. Oh well, depending on the task to be done.
The last type is the gas trimmer. It is powered by gas or oil, designed mainly for hard jobs. If your yard requires heavy-duty trimming, the gas trimmer is perfect for the job. What is good about this type is its unrestricted mobility, yes! Just like the cordless one.
This trimmer offers great power. It can tackle tough jobs. The bad thing is that this is not environment-friendly and can cause health hazard as it emits gas fumes.
This is also the heaviest and the most expensive from among all the choices above. If you have a large property and a lot of hedges to trim, use the gas trimmer.
Like what I said earlier, there is a wide variety of garden tools but it all still boils down to one thing. They are designed to make your work easier and faster. Your choice will have to depend on the size of your property, the tasks to be done and your budget. Also, do not forget to consider the safety features and the comfort it brings.
