After years of struggling with my gas mower, I decided it was time for a change. I have my own power before and did not want to deal with power lines. I was hesitant to buy the lawn mower battery, fear that the tax will not, will be in power. Well, not even the mower. Throw the battery into the charger before mowing the lawn and is fully charged when I did. I have no problem making his court on a single charge. I have only a third of an acre, but we have several flower beds, swings, roads, pavement and slope together. The edges feature works well. Enough energy for a typical suburban garden. If you are looking for is not difficult for you. But if you are looking for a good trimmer typical gardening is a great product.

The Black and Decker lithium ion cordless trimmer is a vast improvement over the older B&D trimmer I previously owned. The trimmer is much lighter, easy to maneuver, and has sufficient speed to do a good trim job until the battery is depleted. The battery charger is also an improvement with a relatively quick recharge. Only negative is that the battery does not last as long as advertised. You are lucky to get 20-25 minutes before recharge it needed.

Easy to use!
I love my new trimmer/edger! No cords, no gas, lightweight, relatively quiet, automatic line advance (so no bumping). The battery runs for about 20 minutes, which is plenty of time for all our edging, and we have a lot of beds to edge. I like that it doesn't slowly lose power--it just stops when it's out of juice. The battery recharges quickly, maybe in a half-hour. Only problem on arrival was a seriously twisted line spool, which kept it from advancing. (Hard to resist bumping it.) All I had to do was take off the spool and rewind the line neatly, and now it works like a charm. It's a good weight for me, and the adjustable handle allowed me to find a comfortable height. (I'm petite.)

Powerful, lightweight trimmer
I'm very happy with this truly evenlightweight but very powerful tool. I ordered it from Amazon and received it even earlier than estimated. It was very easy to assemble, just needed to charge the battery. It handles easily and eats everything in its path, from thin weeds to thick brush. It runs for about 20 minutes non-stop, then I have to recharge. Great feature is that the line forwards on its own, no need to bump it. I'm surprised of the quality this tool shows for the money I paid.

Battery Doesn't Last Long Enough to Do Your Lawn
I don't have a very big yard, so I thought this would be a sufficient product for my situation. It didn't even last long enough to finish half my yard. It took three installments to finish the sides and back of my yard. The battery does charge up fairly quickly. I guess I'll have to do the trimming first, then mow my grass while this thing is charging. Then about half way through mowing, I can trim the sides of my yard. Then finish mowing while this thing is charging again. And finally see if it can finish the back yard before the battery dies. I should have purchased the $99 Ni-Cad battery unit with two batteries. Hopefully the lithium battery will last for a long time. Otherwise, this is going to be an expensive trimmer. It already is expensive. And to be honest, I should have purchased a gasoline powered trimmer at half the cost of this one. The gasoline powered trimmer is at least ten times as powerful as this puny thing. I'm not sure it really deserves three stars. But it does work if you are patient with multiple installments.
