The LX710 also arrives with Logitech's SetPoint software. The SetPoint software allows for more customization than other keyboard sets in the same price range. There are also many customizations that can be done on the wireless mouse.
The Cordless Laser LX710 is very easy to get set up. Start by inserting the two AA batteries in both the keyboard and the mouse, plug the USB receiver into one of your available USB slots and your operating system will take over from there.
The shortcut keys come preprogrammed to open some of the most used applications. Applications like Outlook and Widows Media Player. If you want a shortcut key to open a different application, simply open the SetPoint software and make the necessary changes. You can also program your buttons to do tasks such as copy and paste.
The keyboard itself is a bit larger than others in this price range however, it has a comfortable typing position, nice sized keys and a rubberized palm rest. It also includes flip-up legs for a more comfortable wrist angle.
The laser mouse is much slimmer than your average mouse. It can be used by a left-handed person just as well as the right-handed person. It is both accurate and responsive in its movements. It also features a four-way wheel for easier navigation of web pages. The wheel also has many different customizations available.
One of the best features of the Cordless Desktop LX710 is the length of its contract, five years. Logitech will replace or refund should the device become defective. This will pay off dividends for heavy users.
Logitech backs the Cordless Desktop LX710 Laser with a lengthy, five-year limited warranty that includes a replacement or a refund if the products are defective. The company's support website offers user forums, a knowledge base, and an e-mail form to contact the company.
