I bought this to clean my horse inside the barn, which I had previously cleaned with normal corn broom. The B & D cordless power sweeping all the 30'x60 'barn inside, about 5 minutes and looks clean ... but it's good as long as necessary, either briefly to use the battery dies. In previous reports I have read that this device is apparently came with two batteries included in purchase. I want to be another case, because we live in the battery or charger is useless. I use a bronze 2-3 times a day, for a battery strength is important.
Without a battery of garbage, for example, using blowers to win, gets rid of the cobwebs and dust quickly and efficiently and more thoroughly than anything else I tried. As a woman I respect the elements of light weight too, especially when using backup.

Well worth it and its Quiet
I enjoy using the B&D blower. The battery does not last very long, but I have several other B&D products so I have extra batteries. the best thing about it is that its quiet compared to the gas operated blowers.

Does the job, just don't expect miracles
The NS118 is a nice compact, lightweight electric leaf blower. It takes 5 seconds to assemble, runs very quietly, and puts out enough force to clear walkways or patios of leaves and light debris quite well. The battery packs are also interchangeable with other Black & Decker equipment. I use a B&D weed whacker to trim the edges and bushes around our patio, and then just swap the same battery into the sweeper and clean up all the mess. I haven't had battery life issues as others claim, but perhaps they are trying to cover more ground than I have to with my small yard. Nonetheless, if I leave the battery to charge overnight, it powers both the weed whacker and then the blower for at least 30-45 minutes combined. That's plenty for my needs, and I am very pleased with both. For the price, it's hard to beat such an effective leaf blower. Just don't expect it to run all day or clear out huge piles of compacted leaves. But trimmings, cut grass, and other smaller buildup will soon be a thing of the past.

Perfect for the job at hand
Let me first begin by saying this is not a leaf blower. The title says "Cordless Electric Broom Hard Surface Sweeper" and for that task it performs very well.
A single charge seems to last 10-15 minutes which is adequate to blow all the little things that fall from the trees in the spring. It is great for a quick job sweeping sidewalks, porches and decks. It is much quicker than using a broom or getting out the corded blower. It is much less powerful than a corded or gas powered blower which works out well. It is powerful enough to blow seed pods and the odd leaf off the foundation stones, but not so powerful as to also move the stones.

Perfect ltweight yard blower
I have purchased 4 of these for gifts the past few years. My only regret is Black and Decker stopped putting in two batteries and now there have just one.
This is an amazing tool. It is not intended for blowing leaves from a dozen oak trees etc, but if you have clipping from mowing, lots of walks, patios, pool areas etc, this is the perfect tool. If you have a large yard, pool etc., you may want to invest in a 2nd battery.
