Have Light At The Touch Of A Lamp

Touch table lamps can really give you the flexibility that you need to set the mood lighting that you want.  You can vary them from very bright to soft and seductive simply by touch.  

The atmosphere of any room can instantly be changed as lighting plays an important part in that.

Your outdoor lighting probably needs to be bright as a security measure.  

The lights in the kitchen need to be bright most of the time for cooking so fluorescent lights might be ideal there.

Another factor that needs to be considered nowadays is the cost of electricity which means that the lighting needs to be as efficient as possible.

It is easy to make savings of up to twenty five percent just by being careful with how often your lights are turned on and how bright they are.  Switching to energy efficient light bulbs can increase that saving up to a whopping 60%.  Here are four products that can help you reduce your carbon footprint and save you a lot of money:-

1. A touch lamp dimmer.

This changes a normal bulb into a three way one as each touch alters the brightness from high to medium, then low and of course off.  

This is ideal for bedroom table lamps, cordless table lamps or any kind of floor lamps.

It is great to be able to change the brightness by touch as your requirements change.

2. Touch switch.

The touch switch can work effectively with incandescent bulbs, halogen bulbs or compact fluorescent bulbs.

It is also widely used for under cabinet lighting as well as the sparkly Christmas lights.  When the lighting is not needed, touching makes it easy to turn it off to save energy costs.  Incidentally it is also does not need for any rewiring to be done when you convert to this.

3. Night Time Light Controls.

How often do you find lights on in daylight because you forgot to switch them off?  

Dusk-to-dawn controls are activated by sunlight and automatically switch on at dusk and go off at dawn.  

This also means that they are a safety measure as they will still operate when you are not at home to make people think that there is someone in.

4. Bulb life savers.

These basically extend the life of a bulb by allowing the filament to burn dimmer and cooler.

Another great way to save energy costs. So maybe now you have a better idea on how to save money on electricity costs and will soon be rushing out to buy some touch table lamps.
