First Look: HP 100e Mini Hands-On Review
HP took the wraps off a brand new Mini 100e, education netbook is targeted to schools around the world to obtain reliable, low-cost PCs . We spent some hands-on time with the new HP Mini 100e and spoke with the team from HP, as a friendly netbook this school has to offer.
HP Mini 100e Education Edition features a durable and functional design of the student maintains a friendly, yet simple things that raises the bar for other products, such as the Intel Classmate. Starting with only 3.19 kg of 3-cell battery, the Mini 100e has a 10.1-inch LED-backlit WSVGA(1024 x 600) display, and 92 percent of full size QWERTY keyboard. Mini external 100e is a traditional clamshell design with integrated handle to make it easier for small hands to deal with this laptop. Additional features include the sustainability of strong alloy steel axle pin and spill-resistant keyboard design Mylar protective film under the keyboard to prevent spills from damaging the electronics inside.
Oriented education a part of the design reminded us that with Dell Latitude 2100 is the inclusion of easy-to-see LED that indicates when the computer is connected to the network. Bright light allows teachers to see when a student and is not connected to the Internet during class. And we are on the internet, the HP Mini 100e also includes an integrated modem world, which is consistent in all countries of the V.92 standard. This allows dial-up Internet access in remote areas, so students can easily connect to the Internet anywhere there is Internet service available via phone line. Of course, students can use the wireless features of the HP Mini-100e, including the optional Wi-Fi WLAN and built-in VGA camera for video conferencing and virtual classroom multimedia interactive lessons in the classroom.
Although by default 100e Mini looks a bit spartan, Mini-100E also has a configurable back panel, the keyboard deck and the lower part of the housing, which allow customers to customize their units with the logo of the school, slogan, or image to improve the security and personalization. HP allows us to look at a model of a customized Mini-100e, which emphasizes the possibility of adapting.
HP Mini-100e offers higher than the average for the hardware budget netbook for school use. HP is equipped with modern Atom N455 processor with Intel Express NM10, which allows you to run 100e mini cooler, consume less power and offer better battery life compared to previous-generation HP Mini. It offers 1 GB of DDR3 memory, three or six cell-cell battery option(both for the color mounted in the bottom of the netbook without increasing external dimensions) and many storage options. Because there are many different educational needs, the HP Mini-100e offers Windows XP Home, Windows 7 Starter, or SuSE Linux(SLED 11) operating systems.
HP Mini-100e also includes a basic performance, safety, education, and Microsoft software, such as Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Math, Microsoft Security Essentials . Teachers can also buy many accessories for students to make the most of the Mini-100e, including:

Pricing and Availability
HP Mini-100E will be available worldwide in July. Prices will be determined for each transaction, as specified quantity purchased and customized options. He said that the representative of the HP Mini to say no more than 100e $300 unit.
