Stones, bricks and cement blocks are among the most popularly used materials for building different structures. Marbles and granites are also popularly used for making tiles which are used to decorate bathrooms and kitchens. These materials are also able to provide an attractive finish to kitchens and bathrooms.
Among the reasons for the popularity of these materials is because they can last for a long time with minimal maintenance. However, cutting these materials is not as easy as cutting a pie. You can't use wood saws because they would lose their blades even before you cut half of these materials. Using hammers and other building tools may tend to break these materials into unusable pieces.
Fortunately, there is something you can use to grind through these hard but fragile materials; and this tool is commonly called a diamond blade.
This is usually attached to masonry saws; which are electrical devices specially made for grinding through marbles, granites, cement block, bricks, stones and other abrasive materials without breaking them.
Usually a diamond blade is made up of a steel core and powder metal, which is often mixed with diamond crystals. These blades are very tough and can cut through any material except pure diamonds.
There are several methods of making a blade for masonry saws. These methods include molding and electroplating. Discussing these methods may take a long time, but, these methods allow manufacturers to create a hard and reliable diamond blade.
There are also different designs for these types of blades. Some designs are made in order to provide cooling. These designs are also made for easy removal of wet insoluble residues of stones, bricks, cement blocks and other minerals.
A diamond blade can also be purchased in different sizes to accommodate the different needs of the user. They have diamond blades in sizes such as 14", 20" and 22".
A diamond blade is often used on masonry saws attached to a table but there are also some masonry saws which are easy to carry.
Masonry saws often have blade guards which can protect the blades from breaking easily. These guards also protect humans by not allowing small broken pieces of marbles, stones and etc from flying right into the users eyes.
Finding a diamond blade can be done either by going to a hardware store or using your computer and surfing the internet. It also would not hurt to perform a shopping comparison before purchasing.
When you need a tough saw to cut through strong material, I recommend a masonry saw with a diamond blade. That combination is the best there is in that area.
