I love this tool to grind my dogs nails instead of cutting. I think this tool is more effective than a nail or grinding tool Dremel pedipaw animals. I love the variable speed (I'm not limited to 2 speed), and charging base. I think this is the minimum necessary to keep the dog's nails. If you have anything more than a dog 40 pounds, I would not use anything else than this.

Seems to work well so far
I've only used it once for a small project and it worked well. Comes with a lot of bits but I wish it had more for a wider variety of jobs. I guess that's why they sell the extra kits though.
I've never used a dremel tool before this but it seemed quite powerful for being cordless.
There isn't enough space in the toolbox it comes in to hold all the tools properly. Had to purchase a smaller toolbox to keep everything organized.

Never let's me down
I've owned this set for a few years, and there are many times when this tool is the only one for the job. It's one of those things you should own if you do a lot of projects yourself. It's good for a thousand different things, has a lot of power, and holds a charge for a long time. Never disappointed when I have to reach for a Dremel.

Verrrry handy tool.
So far I've used this tool to sand catches for wooden mosquito screens and knobs for cupboards. I've also used it for the main purpose I bought it, which is to grind down my dogs overly long nails.
I have two large thirteen (13) year old dogs, who are no longer as active as they used to be, and due to this, their nails were getting really long and therefore affecting the way they walk. I tried clippers which hurt them, emery boards, and even sanding by hand which took forever, but never I have achieved the results that this Dremel tool did in minutes.
I was a bit worried at first that the high pitched buzzing sound would scare them, but strangely enough, they ignored it and were very calm after they realised I didn't have the clippers with me!
I used the coarse sand paper barrel attachment to do this.
Bear in mind however, you can't leave the tool too long on each nail, or it will heat up and cause the animal pain. You also get quite a lot of nail dust.
After it's initial charge, the battery has not lost power from the door knobs,to the catches, to all the nails of 2 dogs (including front dew claws). This is the first re-chargeable tool I've ever had that did not die mid-job. It still has all 3 lights displaying full charge.
I have no regrets whatsoever about buying this tool.

This Tool Rocks!
I was looking around for a mini power tool I could use for my weekend hobbies. I didn't want anything real heavy, just something lightweight, but still powerful enough to work on things like small arts and crafts for instance. After looking around a bit, I decided to shell out a few bucks and get this particular model- and boy is it worth every penny I paid for it!
Why? Well for one, it doesn't have a cord. If you're working on delicate figurines on a small table, the last thing you want to do is knock one of them over with the clumsy cord- but this model has solved that problem.
The other feature I like best are the lithium batteries. Lithium batteries mean you can charge the Dremel, use it, and then just put it down and let it sit around until you're ready to use it again. Since I use mine only about once a week, I can vouch for the fact that this feature is worth its weight in gold. Trust me, cordless does NOT mean less power, and this is one tool that is not just for the guys!

This thing is fabulous. I have had a regular Dremel for years, and loved it. This is even better. Initially I was worried how it would stack up to corded, but honestly you'd never know it was a battery model. Great power, long lasting battery. Nice accessory kit. Has made most of my projects MUCH easier now that no cord worries. GO BUY IT!

I purchased this as an upgrade to my previous cordless Dremel - the 7.2 volt 7700-01. The 7.2 volt Dremel wouldn't do the job with metal, glass, or porcelain work. I was hoping this model would provide the extra *umph* I needed. I was right! This Dremel makes short work of anything I throw at it. I sawed through a thick aluminum tube in about 20 seconds with little to no pressure. It leaves a flat, perfect cut. It did get the aluminum really hot - hot enough that I didn't want to hold it. The lithium battery is a big upgrade from the NiCad ones. Also, the battery meter and speed controls are a nice upgrade. It is quite a bit bigger than the 7.2 volt Dremel, but the manual says it will work with the Flex Shaft, so that is ok. Overall, this is a MUCH better tool than the 7.2 volt Dremel - get this one - it's worth the extra money!
