Steps To Building A Paintball Gun

A paintball gun was initially used for marking trees and straying cattle. However, now it is important equipment in the game of paintball. For a paintball fan, constantly renting a paintball gun and related equipment can be harmful for a bank balance. Considerable savings can be made when one knows the instructions for building a paintball gun.

This project uses a quantity of PVC pipe and all them which will be used have to be pressure tested. Otherwise there will be a risk of injury in case the PVC bursts.

First, two lengths of PVC pipe which are 1 inch in diameter and measure 12 inches long have to be cut out. It has to be ensured that the pieces are of the exact same length making it easier for them to be connected. If any threads on the PVC pipes are exposed then they should be covered with plumber's tape before proceeding.

One of the 12 inch PVC pipes must have 1 inch diameter PVC elbows attached to it on both ends. The joints should be first primed with PVC primer before connecting the sections with the PVC cement. The two elbows are supposed to face in identical directions.

As the second piece of 12 inch PVC pipe is concerned whose ends have already been primed with prerequisite PVC primer, two of the PVC Ts that measure 1 inch in diameter have to be attached with more PVC cement. When the PVC cement has adequately cured for the pipes that are joined to the elbows and Ts respectively, the two pieces are connected from T end to elbow end with cement and PVC primer for forming a box shape.

The next step is to learn about building a paintball gun, a rubber nipple of 0.75 inch has to be attached to a 0.75-1 inch reducer that has been fixed to the open end of one of the PVC Ts. Then, a ball valve of 0.75 inch is screwed to the nipple. The barrel of the paintball gun that is made from 1 inch PVC pipe in any preferred length adequately 3 feet is in turn screwed to the ball valve. The tire valve should be attached by drilling a hole in the end cap of 1 inch PVC pipe that is sufficiently broad to fit the tire valve. Then, the tire valve is fitted through the end cap and glue is used for securing it.

While waiting for the end cap assembly to get dried up, a 9 inch length of 1 inch wide PVC pipe should be cemented to an open end of one of PVC Ts. When that has finally dried, the end cap assembly is to be cemented to the end of the PVC pipe. Sufficient time of at least 24 hours should be given to the gun to dry before using. A paintball gun should be always treated like a real loaded gun.
